Read the following passage and answer the questions that follow.
Spring is always colourful in the Kashmir valley.  Tiers of yellow mustard fields are lined by green-leaved poplar and chinar trees. The purple-white flowers of almond make way for the pink and white blooms of the apple and pear trees respectively.
Today, Kashmir has more colour than before, added by over a million giant-sized tulips in more than thirty colours and combinations, planted at the Indira Gandhi Tulip Garden.
Many of the tulips have been imported from Holland. In fact, tulips were bought to Holland from Turkey in the sixteenth century. The Turkish name for tulips is tulbend, meaning muslin and gauze.
